Terms of Use

Last Updated: August 30, 2026 / Effective Date: August 20, 2026

API keys encrypted in device Keychain
Free core features & zero custom backend
Independent third-party tool (Not Apple Inc.)
These Terms of Use ("Terms") set forth the terms and conditions governing the use of the application "AppTrack" ("the App") developed and provided by the developer. By installing, launching, accessing, or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to and accepted all provisions of these Terms.
01

Overview and Purpose of the Service

AppTrack is an iOS utility application designed for software developers to query, aggregate, and review download metrics, sales proceeds, and App Store analytics indicators (such as impressions, product page views, conversion rates, and user retention) for applications managed by the user in App Store Connect, using the App Store Connect API provided by Apple Inc. ("Apple").

To retrieve analytics metrics and report files, the App may automatically or via user interaction generate recurring or one-time report requests on App Store Connect and directly ingest, decompress, and process the resulting report data on the user's device.

02

Relationship with Apple Inc.

The App is an independent, third-party software tool developed and distributed by indie developer Takao Sunagawa ("the Developer"). It is not sponsored, authorized, affiliated with, endorsed, or certified by Apple Inc.

Your use of the App remains subject to all applicable terms, policies, and contracts established by Apple, including the Apple Developer Program License Agreement, App Store Connect Terms of Service, and Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

03

Management Responsibility for App Store Connect Accounts and API Keys

The App does not transmit, route through, or store user credentials or retrieved metrics on any server operated by the Developer. All network requests are dispatched directly from the user's device to the App Store Connect API and associated Apple report delivery endpoints.

The user assumes sole and exclusive responsibility for the safekeeping and management of the App Store Connect API keys, Issuer ID, Key ID, Vendor Number, and private key files (.p8) entered into the App.

  • The App stores registered private keys and credentials exclusively in the secure iOS Keychain (device-local hardware/software-encrypted storage) and never transmits them to external developer servers.
  • To unlock full access to sales, download, and Analytics reporting, the API key generated in App Store Connect must possess the Admin access role. Initial creation of analytics report requests requires Admin permissions as mandated by Apple's API specification.
  • We strongly recommend generating a dedicated API key solely for AppTrack. If the key is no longer in use, or if device theft, loss, or unauthorized access is suspected, immediately revoke the API key from your App Store Connect Users and Access dashboard.
  • Except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Developer, the Developer shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or unauthorized access arising from the user's credential mismanagement, leakage, or third-party misuse.
04

Data Accuracy & Disclaimer of Warranties (As-Is)

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind.

  • Metrics, download counts, and sales proceeds displayed within the App are calculated locally from raw data payloads returned by Apple's App Store Connect API. Due to retroactive adjustments by Apple, metric calculation updates, reporting time zones (UTC vs. local), or reporting delays, historical data may fluctuate over time.
  • While the App performs automatic reconciliation and verification of recent time intervals, the Developer does not guarantee immediate or continuous absolute parity with figures displayed on Apple's official web portal.
  • Foreign exchange currency conversions are calculated based on public open exchange rate feeds and may differ slightly from Apple's official converted payouts or your financial institution's actual deposit totals.
  • Prior to making critical business decisions, financial commitments, tax returns, or official accounting reports, always cross-reference Apple's official App Store Connect reports and financial statements.
05

Usage Fees, Free Core Features & Supporter Benefits

The core functionalities of the App (App Store Connect data synchronization, analytics, performance drilldowns, and widgets) are entirely free of charge. There are no advertising banners, video ads, or mandatory monthly subscriptions. Because the App operates without custom backend servers, no maintenance or cloud storage fees are levied.

Users may, at their sole discretion, purchase voluntary in-app purchases ("Tip Jar / Tips") to support ongoing indie development. As a token of gratitude for supporting development, tipping unlocks the "Initiative Features" (logging product updates/ASO actions and comparing before-and-after metric impact) for a designated duration based on the selected tip tier.

  • Supporter Benefits & Duration: Depending on the tip tier selected (Coffee Break, Sweet Boost, Nutritious Lunch, Dev Tools Support), Initiative Features are unlocked for the duration stated on the in-app purchase screen (1, 3, 6, or 18 months). Multiple tip purchases extend the expiration period cumulatively.
  • No Automatic Renewal (Non-Subscription): Tips are one-time in-app purchases, not auto-renewing subscriptions. You will never be billed automatically upon expiration.
  • Preserved Data Access: Even after the supporter benefit period expires, all previously logged initiatives and history remain fully viewable (recording new initiatives or ongoing impact comparisons requires a new voluntary tip).

All Tip Jar payments are processed through Apple's App Store in-app purchase infrastructure (StoreKit 2). Refund eligibility and procedures are governed strictly by Apple's policies (reportaproblem.apple.com) and applicable consumer protection statutes. For pricing details, please refer to our Legal Notice (Commercial Disclosure).

06

External Communications & Endpoints

The App communicates directly from the user's device and does not connect to any servers operated by the Developer. External network communications initiated by the App are restricted exclusively to the following domains and purposes:

  • api.appstoreconnect.apple.com and Apple Analytics Report Delivery Endpoints: Direct HTTPS calls to Apple's App Store Connect API to fetch sales data and create/deliver Analytics reports.
  • itunes.apple.com / apps.apple.com / Apple Icon CDN: Public Apple Lookup and RSS endpoints to fetch app display names, icon artwork, and public App Store customer reviews.
  • cdn.jsdelivr.net / currency-api: Retrieval of public open exchange rate figures (no credentials or private data are ever sent).
  • apple.com (App Store Payment Servers): StoreKit 2 communication with Apple payment infrastructure when purchasing optional in-app tips.

In the event that third-party services or endpoints undergo unscheduled maintenance, downtime, disruption, or breaking API changes, the Developer bears no legal obligation to restore or maintain compatibility.

07

Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights, copyrights, patents, and trademarks in and to the App's source code, user interface, layout, typography, graphics, and branding are the exclusive property of the Developer or its lawful licensors.

All rights in and to the user's application analytics, performance statistics, and managed app data retrieved via the App remain the property of the user or respective rightful owners.

08

Prohibited Activities

Users shall not engage in any of the following activities when using the App:

  • Illegally obtaining, misappropriating, or using third-party API keys, private keys, or authentication tokens.
  • Reverse engineering, disassembling, decompiling, modifying, or creating derivative works of the App.
  • Imposing unreasonable or disproportionately large loads on Apple's infrastructure or third-party networks.
  • Violating applicable laws, regulations, public morals, or the Apple Developer Program License Agreement.
  • Any other conduct reasonably deemed inappropriate by the Developer.
09

Modifications & Discontinuation of Service

The Developer reserves the right to modify the features, specifications, or user experience of the App, or to suspend or terminate the distribution and availability of the App at any time without prior notice.

Except for the specified benefit period granted for campaign tracking features upon purchasing a Tip Jar tier, the Developer does not guarantee perpetual service availability or future functional updates. Any refund claims upon service discontinuation will be evaluated and processed according to Apple's App Store policies and governing law.

10

Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Developer expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, statutory, or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, error-free operation, or uninterrupted access.

Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by the Developer, or where liability cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory consumer protection laws, the Developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of the use or inability to use the App.

11

Amendments to the Terms of Use

The Developer may amend these Terms in accordance with applicable laws (including Article 548-4 of the Civil Code of Japan). When revising these Terms, the Developer will provide reasonable advance notice regarding the fact of the revision, the revised content, and the effective date via the official website or within the App.

12

Target Users & Biometric Authentication

The App is designed specifically for individual and corporate iOS developers who hold an active Apple Developer account with access permissions to App Store Connect. It is not intended for individuals under 13 years of age.

Where the App enables biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID), all biometric calculations and verifications are processed strictly inside your device's Secure Enclave via Apple's Local Authentication Framework. The Developer does not possess, store, or transmit biometric credentials.

13

Governing Law, Jurisdiction & Contact Information

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Unless otherwise provided by mandatory statutory law, the Kobe District Court shall have exclusive primary jurisdiction as the agreed court of first instance over any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms.
